ADVOCACIES

Several advocacy projects were embarked upon by Project Alert in 2008. These included media advocacies by the Male Support Groups (MSGs). Advocacy visits were paid to target groups – Students, Trade Unions, traditional rulers, professional associations.

YASV UNICAL: The Youths Against Sexual Violence Club, UNICAL chapter was inaugurated on August 8, 2008 at the Chinua Achebe Hall NAT, University of Calabar. The line up of activities leading to the formal inauguration included a campus wide rally by members of the club.
